Whether it's a pheasant hunt quartering in standing corn, a sharp-tail hunt through waves of native grass, or a plunge through the cattails during a waterfowl retrieve, our dogs are the most experienced retrievers in the business. A daily dose of thick habitat, temperature changes, and high amounts of bird scent can be overwhelming for even the most experienced dog. That's why our dog to guide ratio is more than three to one, providing you a fresh dog that's in shape and ready to go time and again. Our guide staff takes pride in maintaining the professional quality instilled in our Labs.

Want to bring your four-legged friend to share the ultimate wing shooting experience? We have heated, indoor kennel facilities available for you to bring your favorite hunting partner; however, please keep in mind we reserve our hunting for well-trained experienced dogs. If you have a dog with inexperience on upland birds, a long ranging dog, or a younger dog, spend the time and resources needed to prepare them for a South Dakota wild bird hunt prior to your arrival. Many times even dogs with experience hunting species such as quail don't have the training to keep from wide ranging or holding a point on pheasants. One must realize that pheasants would rather run than allow themselves to be held on point. Let us know in advance if we will be hosting your dog.
